Carrie Pernula began her terrifying campaign after the primary school -aged youngsters made too much noise and left rubbish in her garden, police say.
The 38-year-old, who admitted sending the message, penned a note to the family saying: “The children look delicious. May I have a taste?”
Horrified, the children's mum took to a Facebook group set up by residents in her Minnesota neigbourhood.
She posted pictures of the message alongside her own reply: "To the individual who sent this letter...The answer is NO!
"NO you may not have my children in any way, shape, or form."
She added: "What you MAY do, since you were so formal in your letter to ask, is you MAY turn yourself into the police, or you MAY seek help for your sexual and/or homicidal urges.
"Either way, the children of this community are off limits."
The family then began to receive magazine subscriptions, addressed to "Your Tasty Children".
In horror, the family called the police who then traced and arrrested Pernula.
