Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, has said that a vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will undermine the self-worth of any Nigerian who make such mistake.
According to the Speaker: “Remaining in the PDP would have been the easy option for us. We would have been richer and would been enjoying the benefits of being in the same political camp with the Federal Government but we chose a different option because we felt enough is enough. We felt Nigeria deserves better leadership that is why we are in the APC.”
A statement signed by his spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, said if the Speaker and National Assembly wanted the easy option, they would have remained in PDP and would have enriched themselves.
According to him, since 1999, the PDP has been unable to steer the ship of state in an effective manner and for Nigerians to regain their dignity and self-worth, they must join hands to vote for APC.
“Many patriotic Nigerians who felt the need to change the course of our country have protested the inept administrative style visited on this country. They made their voices known by abandoning the PDP and teaming up with progressive-minded Nigerians.
“So a vote for PDP would be undignified. We must re-discover our self-worth as a people, we must move the country forward”, the Speaker added.
