The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), is set to offer Boniface Mkwasa a permanent deal, after being impressed with the work the coach is doing in charge of the Taifa Stars.
Last weekend, Mkwasa’s men held the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a goalless draw, in an AFCON 2017 qualifier in Dar es Salaam.
Although he has only overseen three games, TFF feel he has done enough to deserve a long-term contract.
“We didn’t get a victory but we have seen changes and every Tanzanian soccer fan can attest to it. The team played well and created many goal scoring oportunities in all the matches and this came a short while after he was given the team, this shows he could give us success if we give him a longer contract,” TFF president Jamal Malinzi told Goal.
Mkwasa was given the role on a short-term deal, after Tanzania parted ways with Mart Nooij.
