A MAN has been jailed for killing his older brother by force feeding him potatoes in a drunken fight.
A court heard how the 55-year-old strangled his 57-year-old sibling and punched him repeatedly in the head and neck.
He then forced the spuds down his throat before calling an ambulance. Paramedics found the elder brother dead with a potato lodged in his windpipe after the incident in North Jutland, Denmark.
The killer was acquitted of manslaughter charges but found guilty of an alternative charge of violence causing death by a jury at Hjørring District Court.He was jailed for seven years.
Jurors rejected the killer’s claim that his older brother got the potatoes stuck in his throat by accident or had attempted to kill himself after the fight.
