The Police has expressed the need to interrogate Wasiu Ayinde, over the alleged shooting of an undergraduate by one of his band boys at Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, last week Sunday.
Kofoworola Azeez, a female student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, was hit in the right buttock by a stray bullet reported to have been fired by Wasiu Ayinde’s band boy, at Limelite hotel in Ago Iwoye.
Police spokesperson and image maker in Ogun state, Muyiwa Adejobi, revealed that the undergraduate was sitting outside a parked Honda car, outside the hotel where the show took place.
He said: “Wasiu Ayinde did not come to the command’s headquarters last Thursday as expected for interrogation. He sent his lawyer to the Area Commander in Ijebu Ode, saying he had travelled to London.
“However, any time he returns, we are still expecting him to honour the invitation for him to come and write a statement on what he knew about the shooting.”
