The family of tragic Shamim Mullick said staff at Al Islamia Mission School in Majlishpur, India caused such severe injuries that the 13-year-old died.
Police confirmed that they have now arrested the school's owner and headmaster as part of a murder investigation.
Having left his parents at the school gate, Shamim is said to have turned around and left the school property to give them one more wave goodbye.
When he returned teachers were furious at what had happened and allegedlly carried out an attack.
His injuries were so severe that he was taken ato a nearby nursing home, where his condition deteriorated further.
Shamim was then rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Shamim's devastated parents said the first thing they know about their son's injuries were when they got a call from the school at midnight to say he'd died.
They also said that the school inititally tried to claim that the boy had simply fallen ill - but the hospital confirmed he'd died as a result of a savage beating.
Shamim's parents claim they were later were told that the beating had been carried out by headmaster Hanif Sheikh.
As result the made a formal complaint to police who arrested Hanif Sheikh and the school's owner Shahzada Al Mamun.
Police are now investigating Shamim's death as a murder.
