JAMB Reopens Portal, Gives Candidates 48 Hours To Complete Registration

In its bid to assist candidates who initiated, but could not upload and complete the registration process for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reopened its portal and is giving a 48-hour extension for applicants to do so.

According to a statement issued by the Board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin on Tuesday in Lagos, JAMB will reopen its website between 12 midnight on Tuesday and 12 midnight on Thursday to enable applicants complete their registration process for the 2016 UTME.

However, the Board averred that the fresh grace will only be for applicants who were unable to complete the registration process as of Friday, 5 February, when the registration closed and not those who want to begin a fresh registration process.

The statement read: “The board wishes to state that the directive does not cover fresh registration but only those who had either done offline registration or visited our website but could not submit.

“The board wishes to state that all arrangements for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have been concluded and examination will commence as earlier slated.

“Candidates are also urged to print their examination slips for the schedules of their date, venue and time allotted to them and other necessary information.”
