A Florida man who fatally shot his wife and posted a photo of her body on Facebook has been sentenced to life in prison.
Derek Medina, 33, received the maximum sentence for the August 2013 killing of 27-year-old Jennifer Alfonso.
He was convicted in November of the second-degree murder of Ms Alfonso, who was shot eight times in the couple's kitchen.
Medina told police he shot his wife during an argument in which she threatened him with a knife.
Medina and Jennifer Alfonso had a tumultuous relationship
The trial heard he admitted taking a mobile phone photo of his wife's body and uploading it to Facebook.
The former amateur boxer wrote in the post: "I'm going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys miss you guys take care Facebook people you will see me in the news."
The next and final post, with the comment "Rip Jennifer Alfonso", was a gruesome photograph showing a woman in a black leotard slumped on the floor.
The image was up for more than five hours before Facebook removed the page.
Medina's defence had argued that Ms Alfonso abused drugs, battered her husband and was involved in devil worship.
But prosecutors said Medina fatally shot her because she threatened to leave him.
Court records indicated the couple had a tumultuous relationship.
They were first married in January 2010, divorced in February 2012 and then remarried three months later.
