The Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd) made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, as he enjoined all the Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to support, co-operate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari in his sustained efforts to build a peaceful, united and virile nation.
In a statement from the Acting Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, Dambazau further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation.
