The suspect, Sunday Emmanuel, had allegedly lured the victim into his apartment at Idowu street before forcefully penetrating her.
This caused a stir in the area as parents began checking on their daughters’ private parts to ascertain they had not been victims as the suspected paedophile was in the habit of ‘playing’ with them.
The abominable act was exposed when the victim started bleeding from her private part after she returned home, prompting her mother to check her and get the shock of her life.
When her mum asked her what happened, she told her that Sunday removed her pant and forced his penis into her, before she was rushed to the General Hospital in Isolo where she is being treated and where other tests are presently carried out.
The matter was reported to the police and Sunday was arrested and detained at the police cell, before the case is transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligent Department, SCIID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
The suspect’s neighbours who trooped to the station expressed shock over what happened and described him as a likeable and quiet person incapable of such heinous act.
