The World Football Governing body FIFA has sent a letter to the Nigeria Football Association demanding how grants giving to it are being used. Our correspondent learnt that this development has sent the NFF to be tidying up its books as auditors from the world football body might come to authenticate how previous 46grants were spent.
The development, our correspondent learnt could be a result of several petitions from some Nigerians to FIFA. Our source stated that FIFA was informed that money appropriated for certain programmes were diverted and this might not go down well with the soccer buffs in Zurich.
Our source corroborated this with FIFA Goal Project at the Package B of the Abuja National Stadium which the officials from Zurich criticized when they visited Nigeria by berating it to be of interior standard compare the one constructed by the Ghanaian FA. “FIFA has been giving money for certain projects and they are coming to see whether it is judiciously spent,” our source added.
