Governor of Willie Obiano Anambra State stopped his convoy to assist a woman who was involved in a car accident after she was knocked into gutter by a Toyota car along Adazi-Enu axis of Awka–Nnewi road.
The victim, a lady in her 40s lay inside the water channel with the car on her and no one to help lift it off her until the governor’s convoy pulled over. Obiano immediately came out of his car and encouraged those working with him to see to the rescue and well-being of the woman.
A government ambulance was called to the scene and a medical team successfully moved her to the hospital.
