Rumours have been rife for months regarding Jose Mourinho’s future, and Manchester United is seen is the most likely destination.
Reports today state that while United are keen to bring Mourinho to the club, they would prefer to do so at the end of next season, giving Louis van Gaal another 12 months in the job.
That decision won’t go down well with large sections of the Old Trafford faithful who have becomes disillusioned with Van Gaal’s style of football and disappointing results, and they would prefer him gone this summer.
Mourinho unlikely to want to wait around for a whole year before getting back into the managerial game following his exit from Chelsea last December so it may be a case of United missing out on their target.
