Portugal have won the European championships in France. Cristiano Ronaldo’s side defeated hosts France 1-0 in the final to win the tournament in a spectacular fashion.
Ronaldo was forced-off the game after he signaled to be substituted mid-way through the first half, but there was no separating these two sides as it remained goalless after 90 minutes.
The epic final proceeded into extra-time but substitute Eder got the all-important goal after 109 minutes to ensure the Selecao win the tournament.
The hosts made desperate fight back, but were unlucky as goalkeeper Patricio made strings of saves to deny the hosts. It ended; Portugal 1-0 France.
