Justin Bieber skipped the VMAs Sunday but still managed to give a killer performance ... singing karaoke at his local L.A. bar that put all the bad singers in the joint to shame.
Justin picked one of the hardest songs in the books -- Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire" and slayed.
He's got a chronic problem -- letting go of the mic wherever he goes -- but it's usually awesome. Thing is ... he kinda shamed the bad singers who populate karaoke bars.
