Chelsea Defender Gary Cahill Slams 'Incredible' Refereeing Decision: ''You Could See It From The Moon''

Cahill is fouled by Fer - but it was missed by referee Andre Marriner
The Blues centre-half was fouled by Leroy Fer before the Swansea man netted their second goal, but it was missed by referee Andre Marriner.
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has slammed referee Andre Marriner following the Blues' draw with Swansea.

Cahill was dispossessed by Leroy Fer in the second half which led to the Dutchman going in on goal and scoring to put the Swans 2-1 ahead.

Television pictures showed that Fer had clearly fouled the England centre-half, but referee Andre Marriner allowed play to continue.

Marriner has already been in the news this season after he said he missed Sergio Aguero's elbow on Winston Reid, which led to the Manchester City striker being retrospectively punished with a three-match ban.

Diego Costa netted an equaliser in the last 10 minutes, his second goal of the game, to restore parity, but Cahill expressed his disbelief at the controversial moment after the match.

"It's a clear foul," he said. "I'm frustrated. Come on, seriously! You could be sat on the moon and see it is a clear foul.

"I took the touch away from him, he came through the back of me. It was clear as day and seeing it back has made me even more angry.

"It's all fun and games for the fans isn't it but it's the players who suffer. That kills me and kills my team. We have dropped two points which is massive in this league.

"Look at my face! It's incredible. I said to the referee there's three of you that can see that. There were two fouls, and between the officials they have said that they couldn't see it. For me that is incredible."

Cahill also took to Twitter to show his annoyance, firstly posting a gif of the foul, followed by a tweet, accompanied by several angry emoticons, which simply read: "Incredible."

Costa fired Chelsea ahead in the first half of a match they seemed to be dominating, before two quick goals from Swansea turned the game on its head.

Gylfi Sigurdsson first converted from the penalty spot after Thibaut Courtois had fouled the midfielder, then Fer beat the Belgian after the Cahill incident.

Costa's late acrobatic effort rescued a point for Antonio Conte's side who maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
