PUNCH reports that a multiple accident has occurred this afternoon along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway after a couple of trailers collided with each other.
The accident reportedly happened in front of the British American Tobacco (Nigeria) Limited company in Ibadan, Oyo State. Fortunately, no one died however, several people were injured.
The injured persons have reportedly been taken to a nearby hospital by the Federal Road Safety officials who were present at the scene of the accident.
The Lagos-Ibadan expressway is currently blocked as the three trailers that collided have not been cleared. Motorists have been forced to make a detour due to the blockage.

In a similar development, reports have it that a petrol tanker and several other vehicles are currently on fire along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway. A video of the incident was shared on Twitter by @Securityalertng. So far, there are no reports of casualties.
