Pole dancing could become an Olympic sport as organisers seek to entice more men into watching The Games.
An application from the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) has been sent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
It demands that pole dancing is recognised as a fully-fledged sport.
Speaking about the application, an IPSF spokesman said: "This is a long process and may take years to achieve recognition, but by applying we have already raised the standards of our sport and look forward to continuing to evolve in line with the with international sporting guidelines."
