Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari said bandits are finding it easy to kill villagers because the state is surrounded by forests.
Yari stated this in Abuja yesterday while addressing State House correspondents after meeting behind closed-doors with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The governor said he hoped that soldiers would stay for a while in the six camps they currently operated in the state.
Suspected armed bandits have reportedly carried out a series of attacks on villages in four local government areas of Zamfara States, killing over 150 persons, burning many houses and displacing hundreds of residents.
