Is good to be our sisters keeper! Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has shown support for the protesting Super Falcons, by donating N1million to the squad.
The Nigerian senior women team, have embarked on a sit-in protest at their Abuja hotel and also staged a protest march to the National Assembly, over their unpaid bonuses and allowances.
President Muhammadu Buhari has already ordered for them to be paid as soon as possible. A source close to the team, revealed that Onazi, who plays for Trabzonspor in Turkey, has also shown concern about the ladies’ situation.
“Onazi is a fantastic man and supported the Falcons with the sum of one million Naira, that really helped the ladies,” a source reported to AfricanFootball. “He also gave one of the injured players 200,000 Naira for her treatment. “He is a wonderful guy. I was aware some of the girls called him to complain about their plight and he helped them.”
