Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has landed a job as a TV pundit for a French television channel once the competition kicks off January 14.
Rohr, 63, has a track record working in Africa for the past eight years following his arrival as coach of Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel in 2008.
The Franco-German tactician has also handled the national teams of Niger, Burkina Faso and Gabon during their run to the quarterfinals of AFCON 2012 which they hosted.
“Rohr will be a pundit for a French television network at the AFCON in Gabon,” a top source told AfricanFootball.com.
Rohr, who’s made a perfect start to his Eagles career with three wins out of three, earlier proposed to monitor the Eagles 2018 World Cup qualification foes during the continental showpiece event and is presently holidaying in Madagascar, the birthplace of his wife.
Nigeria presently sit atop Caf World Cup qualifying Group B with six points from two matches, four clear of second-placed Cameroon who have gathered just two points.
The qualification campaign resumes in August with a blockbuster double-header between the Eagles and Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions.
