The 17-year-old has caught the eye of several teams with his impressive displays for the youth team.
And according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea all had scouts present to watch the teenager play in Forest’s 4-1 FA Youth Cup defeat to Stoke on Tuesday night.
Everton, Manchester City and Tottenham also sent staff to cast an eye on the young prospect.
But the report suggests United and Liverpool are most serious about the striker and are ready to make offers for the forward.
Brereton has netted 15 goals in 20 matches for the Under 23s this season that has led to interest from England U18 coach Neil Dewsnip.
Forest Under-18s coach Gareth Holmes was full of praise for Brereton after their FA Cup defeat, telling the Nottingham Post: “Ben is tremendous. Look at his performance. He never wavered in his application.
"He is a striker who is very rare. He scores goals and is ruthless, but he has an empathy for the team.
"He wants to work for the team. In the national game right now that type of striker is rare.
"He's got a lot of work to do but he's getting there. He shows potential with his movement, with his intelligence, application and goals.
"He's ticking a lot of boxes. This defeat will disappoint him, but he'll play in bigger games than this."
