A handful of young children in Auchi, Delta State, have displayed an enviable act of bravery after they were pictured posing and lounging beside snakes.
The photo was first shared by National Helm which states that the photo was taken during the holidays in a village in Auchi after a hunter returned home with his killings for day. These killings include various species of rodents and snakes.
From the photos, the snakes were beheaded and slung over the neck of a child who seemed to be not more than four.
The photos have caused quite a stir. While a few people noted that these spoils of the hunt are prepared as delicacies, others noted that such public display is common practice in the area.
