Queen Elizabeth II Becomes The Longest-Serving Monarch In British History

She’s the longest-serving monarch in British history, and now Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating 65 years on the throne. At her birth, Elizabeth was third in the line of succession. She became queen in 1952 at age 25, after her uncle Edward VIII abdicated the throne and her father, George VI, died of a heart attack.
