Senate President Bukola Saraki has said the National Assembly will solve the country’s energy crisis by amending laws on power supply, generation and distribution.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, on Thursday, Saraki said this after inspecting an energy project in Feldheim a German village located 70 kilometres away from Berlin.
Residents of the village had put together resources to produce clean and renewable energy.
According to Saraki, if energy laws are amended, the same project can be replicated in Nigeria.
He said power supply remains top on the agenda of the Senate.
“That is why we had a workshop on the sector last month. It is also why we are here to see the experiment and success of the people of Feldheim and see what our people can learn from it,” he said.
