Super Eagles Coach Rohr to Drop some Players Ahead of Corsica, South Africa Ties
Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has confirmed that he will drop some players before the team goes up against Corsica in May.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to have about 30 players in their camp in France ahead of the international friendly match against the island nation scheduled for the 26th of May 2017, before the eagerly anticipated commencement of qualifiers for Afcon 2019 with a home tie against South Africa.

But Rohr has stated that not all the players invited will be used in the games as he tries to find the right balance in the side, SportsVanguard writes.

“We will play against Corsica and we will have about 20 to 23 players,” Rohr said. “But not all the players will come with us to Paris on May 23 when we meet before proceeding to Ajaccio in Corsica, where the game will be played.”

The Eagles are expected to remain in camp before returning to the country for the clash against the Bafana Bafana scheduled for the 10th of June at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

Team captain Mikel Obi has been ruled out of the ties as he will still be recuperating from a successful surgery to correct a hip problem.
