Mr. Adeleke Orekoya, father of the children, declared that he needed more time to bond with his children again, after their rescue from Kidnappers who stashed them in an abandoned building at Shasha area in Lagos. He politely declined to speak to Weekly Trust at the Nigeria Police Hospital, Ikeja, where his children were first taken to for medical treatment after their release.
Orekoya said his reluctance is hinged on the fact that his kids are acting a bit unusual. “I know my kids and they are not acting the way they used to before they were kidnapped. When we were reunited, they simply stared, blankly. It’s unusual, because whenever I come back from work, they would jump all over me excitedly.” He said he wants his kids back the way they were before they were kidnapped.
