Mario Balotelli has said farewell to Liverpool fans after he returned to Italy. The 25-year old striker under went a medical at the San Siro on Tuesday but AC Milan are yet to confirm the loan deal’s completion.
Balotelli will be required to have a good behaviour clause inserted into his contract with Milan if his loan deal from Liverpool is to go through, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Reports in Italy suggest that Milan’s chief executive, Adriano Galliani, was behind the clause, which is rumoured to ban any extravagant hairstyles or clothing, careless social media use and irresponsible behaviour. Balotelli has suffered from disciplinary issues on and off the field during his career. In 2013 he missed 11 games in one season for Manchester City because of suspension.
“I’m grateful to Liverpool FC and Liverpool fans for the time and opportunities you gave me,”he wrote on his official Facebook page.
“It’s not a goodbye but rather a farewell. I’ll be supporting you guys all the way in every competition… unless you face AC Milan.”
