Jose Mourinho denies pressure

Jose Mourinho may have insisted he feels no pressure despite his Chelsea side succumbing to their third defeat of the season against Everton on Saturday, but the Portuguese tactician could be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit door - according to the bookies.

The Blues' 3-0 loss at Goodison Park means Chelsea have now had their worst start to a new season since 1986 while having conceded one more goal (16) in their last seven Premier League games than they did in their title-winning campaign of 2004/05.

Despite seemingly being under pressure to steer the defending champions back to winning ways, Mourinho - who only signed a new contract at Chelsea last month - said he would not walk away from the club.

But odds from William Hill suggest the coach could decide to end his tenure in west London early, with Mourinho now 7/2 to depart Stamford Bridge before the end of the year and 5/2 to go before the end of the season.
