The Manchester City striker beat the likes of Dele Alli and Roberto Firmino to the award after scoring five goals in four games for Manuel Pellegrini's men
Sergio Aguero has been named Premier League Player of the Month for January.
The Manchester City striker scored five goals in four games to scoop the award for the first time this season.
Manuel Pellegrini's side were undefeated last month, with Aguero's brace against West Ham United earning a 2-2 draw and another double against Crystal Palace helping City to a 4-0 victory
The Argentina international also found the back of the net in the come-from-behind 2-1 win at Watford, and recorded an assist in the aforementioned clash with Palace at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli, Southampton's Virgin van Dijk, Liverpool's Roberto Firmino, Sunderland's Jermain Defoe and Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel were all in the running, but Aguero's contributions to City's title bid saw him win the prize.
The 27-year-old will now have his eye on boosting his goal tally further when Manchester City take on Leicester City in a top-of-the-table encounter on Saturday.
Southampton's Ronald Koeman, meanwhile, landed the manager of the month award after his side won three of their four games in January, including their second successive win at Old Trafford after Charlie Austin marked his debut with the winning goal.
