The police in Delta State have apprehended a young woman, Beatrice Idoro, who allegedly killed a commercial motorcyclist and kept the decomposing corpse in her room for days.
The Delta State police spokesperson, Celestina Kalu, who disclosed this yesterday in Ă€saba, explained that on Thursday, April 14, a group of vigilante men, led by Mr. Udoro Odiri of 231 Eku Sapele Road, Eku, had reported at the local police station, that the group received an information that a corpse was in Idoro’s apartment at No. 8, Irifere Eku and that the deceased was an Okada man named Oghenerho, whose surname and age were unknown.
Kalu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, who was silent on the motive for the murder and the relationship between the duo, however, explained that the deceased was killed by the said Beatrice on Tuesday, April 5, and the corpse kept in her inner room for nine days before the discovery.
She said based on the information, the scene was visited and the murder confirmed, adding that two suspects have been arrested while preliminary investigation is in progress.
