Three Spanish journalists held captive in Syria for ten months returned home Sunday, tearfully hugging relatives as they got off a military jet near Madrid.
Antonio Pampliega, Jose Manuel Lopez and Angel Sastre shed tears of joy as they reunited with their families on the tarmac of the Torrejon de Ardoz air force base on the outskirts ofthe capital.
The trio, who were kidnapped by an unknown group last July, shook hands with Deputy Prime Minister Soraya Saenz de Santamaria after regaining their freedom.
