Immediate past president Goodluck Jonathan, and immediate past chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega were also named persons of the year for 2015.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara was named Politician of the Year.
Dignitaries at the event include former Head of state, Abdulsalam Abubakar, and Governor of Akwa Ibom state Udom Emmanuel.
