Slim Shady verbally waylays the floundering Republican candidate in a new, jarring eight-minute rap titled “Campaign Speech.”
“Consider me a dangerous man/ But you should be afraid of this dang candidate/ You say Trump don’t kiss ass like a puppet?/ ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the funding?/ And that’s what you wanted?/ A fuckin’ loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button/ Who doesn’t have to answer to no one?/ Great idea!” Eminem sprays, not mincing his words directed at the real estate mogul.
The track is more akin to a freestyle session caught on tape in the studio rather than a unified song. The vocals are only backed with minimal beats and foreboding tones. Eminem doesn’t merely call out Trump in his lyrics; he also directs his malice at the businessman’s rabid legion of fans: “Run the faucet / I’m a dunk a bunch of Trump supporters underwater/Snuck up on ‘em in Ray-Bans in a gray van with a spray tan.”
Eminem shared the mesmerizing lyrical marathon in a Twitter post while also informing his followers that he’s hard a work on his next record.
