According to Nigerian lawyer, the actress reportedly stole N460,000 from a male friend, and this is not including amounts she allegedly owed a car mechanic, a cosmetic supplier, clothier and eateries. Anyim reportedly went into hiding until she was arrested and charged to court.
Last month, the actress’ second marriage crashed over claims of infidelity; her first marriage was dissolved over a similar claim.
In the Uyo court, Anyim was remanded in prison until she meets the bail condition of N500,000, while the case got adjourned to October 13.
The sad development sparked reactions among her fans, with many alleging that the present court case could be a relationship gone wrong.
