The herbalist was arraigned on two-count of conspiracy and murder while Tiamiyu was charged for unlawfully receiving a property belonging to the deceased.

Police prosecutor, Mr Mereti Wilson, told the court that the accused person (Jelili) and others now at large conspired to commit murder and robbery which according to him are offences punishable under the law.

The prosecutor said, “Jelili and others now at large on the 23rd December 2016 at Egbeda, Iragbiji did conspire among themselves to commit felony to wit murder and robbery.

Jelili did kill one Rofiat Damilola Adebisi a student of Osun State University.

“However, Tiamiyu Kabiru did unlawfully receive one Samsung DVD player value yet unknown which is the property of one Rofiat now deceased from one Elijah Oyebode knowing same to have been stolen.

“The offence committed by Jelili Raji contravened section 324 and 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002 while offence of Tiamiyu Kabiru contravened section 427 of the criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.”

The magistrate, Mrs Habibat Basiru, did not take the plea of the herbalists while the plea of Tiamiyu, who allegedly received a stolen good was taken as he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Counsel for the second accused person (Tiamiyu), Mr Ngwoke K.E made an oral bail application for his client.

The magistrate in her ruling granted the bail of the second accused person in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and she ordered that the herbalist be remanded in Ilesa Prison.

She adjourned the case to March 13th for mention.

The driver, who allegedly sold the deceased to the herbalist, Elijah Oyebode, was last week arraigned by the police before a Chief Magistrate Court presided of by Mr Olusola Aluko.

Oyebode was arraigned, together with one Yusuf Ajibade, who allegedly bought the iPhone belonging to the deceased and valued at about N100,000.00.
