Nia Long has denied fighting with Taraji P. Henson during the production of the 3rd season of the hit TV series, Empire.
The rumour was first published by TMZ which claimed that the women were at “each other’s throat”, a quarrel that started after Long became allegedly rude to the makeup, hair and wardrobe teams, causing a rift between her and Henson. They allegedly stopped talking to each other and the quarrel reportedly got so heated that their scenes had to be shot differently so as not to ruin the production.
Taraji P. Henson is famous for never shying away from confronting adversaries.
But Nia Long, who is engaged to Nigerian-American former professional basketball player Ime Sunday Udoka, has spoken and says there is no truth in that publication. In a statement shared with E! News, Long’s camp called the story a “complete nonsense.”
“Throughout her long, established career, Nia has been nothing but a consummate professional treating all members of productions with respect,” Long’s rep continued in the statement. “This is nothing but another complete fabrication about a series that has been plagued by constant rumours of drama and misconduct.”
However, the very outspoken Taraji P. Henson who plays the lead character Cookie in the series refused to make a statement when E! News reached out to her for comment. We guess we will never know the whole truth. What do you think?
