Nigeria’s friendly tonight against Senegal in London will go ahead despite a terror incident at the British capital city yesterday, officials have assured.
Four people have so far died and many more are injured in an incident at the British Parliament the police consider to be a terror attack.
“The game will go on, we won’t have any problems,” announced Nigeria spokesman Toyin Ibitoye. “But we will have extra security because of what has happened.”
Tonight’s game will kick off 9pm Nigerian time, which is 8pm GMT.
It will be the same time the Eagles will also get going against Burkina Faso on Monday.
The Hive Stadium of English club Barnet FC is the match venue for both games.
