Looks like the music gods are smiling down on the Mavin family, and Iyanya may be about to ink a deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation.
The ‘Your waist’ crooner gave an inkling to this development in a not -so-subtle way when he took to twitter to somewhat announce a partnership with the record label.
Tweeting “We #Up2Sumthin and it’s going to be groundbreaking!!! #TMC #MAVIN #ROC,” the 30-year-old Iyanya who is currently in the states shared a picture of himself in Roc Nation’ office, hinting that indeed something was cooking with the entertainment giant.
Recall that the first lady of the Don Jazzy-owned Mavin Records – Tiwa Savage, inked a recording contract with Roc Nation way back in May 2016 and is becoming quite visible on the international scene with a scheduled performance at the 2017 Coachella music festival alongside international music greats like Beyonce and the rest.
Looks like things are moving along nicely for the Mavin artistes and if Iyanya’s contract is a done deal, then his move to Mavin must have been a well calculated one as it is reeling in a number of benefits for him, already.
We can’t wait to get the details behind the tweet and it would sure be nice if something like this is cooking for the one of the 2nd generation Mavin Records signees.
